A private helicopter ascent over Lombardy's most cinematic shoreline — fifteen, thirty, or fifty minutes of vertical clarity above villas, gardens, and the dark folds of the pre-Alps.

The Geography, Rearranged

​

Lake Como is best understood not as a body of water but as a vertical landscape: a Y of deep blue cut into mountains, the Alps closing the horizon to the north, the Brianza plain spreading south toward Milan. From the road, you see only a sliver. From a boat, you see the shoreline. From a helicopter — six hundred metres up, the engine a distant register through Bose headsets — the entire geography arranges itself.

You see Bellagio set into its promontory like a piece of marquetry. Villa del Balbianello on its wooded spur at Lenno, the loggia and cypresses arranged for the camera before cameras existed. Villa Carlotta's terraced gardens, the silk-town grid of Como, the Grand Hotel Tremezzo curving along the western shore. And — if the day is clear and the route extends north — the Bernina range, Monte Rosa, the white shoulders of the Alps.

The Experience

​

Private departures from the helipads of Como Idroscalo, Villa d'Este, or Milan Linate Prime, depending on your itinerary. The aircraft are typically Airbus H125 or H130 — air-conditioned cabins, panoramic glass, capacity for four to six passengers, and a single pilot. Headsets carry continuous in-flight commentary in English or Italian, or silence if you prefer.

Three formats:

The Overview · 15 minutes. The Como basin only — Cernobbio, Villa d'Este, Moltrasio. Best taken as an aperitif before lunch on the lake.

The Classic · 30 minutes. The full Y: Como to Bellagio, Bellagio to Tremezzo and back. The route most guests remember.

The Long Arc · 50 minutes. Como, Bellagio, the northern reaches toward Domaso, a swing west over Lake Lugano, and return via the Valassina, for those who want the Alps framed.

Beyond the Flight

​

The helicopter is rarely used for the whole day. We pair it with what comes before or after: lunch at a one-Michelin terrace in Bellagio with private boat transfer, a tasting at a Franciacorta cellar an hour south, a same-day landing at a private estate in Piedmont, onward transit to Lake Garda, the Dolomites, or the Italian Riviera. The aircraft is a tool; the itinerary is the experience.

briefing with refreshments. In-flight commentary in Italian or English. On request, photographs by our on-call photographer; on request, a videographer in the second seat.

Practical Notes

​Operates year-round, weather permitting. October through April offers the clearest air and longest visibility; September offers the most saturated light. Forty-eight hours' notice preferred; same-day flights possible, subject to availability. Maximum combined passenger weight 450 kg. Children are welcome from age four. Cancellations rebooked at no additional cost in the event of unfavourable conditions.
